Welcome to the Ceunant Mountaineering Club.

We are a Birmingham based club, and welcome new members of all abilities from all parts of the Midlands and further afield.

What do we get up to? Our 180 members range from 18 to 70+. There are big range mountaineers, rock climbers, sports climbers, skiers, ski tourers, walkers, scramblers and mountain bikers. We have a busy programme of meets throughout the year to suit all tastes.

You don't have to climb but will probably have an interest in the mountains and outdoors. We enjoy ourselves on the hill and like to have fun afterwards. Why not have a look at our photos on Facebook?

Members meet regularly on Wednesdays at the Birmingham climbing walls [Creation or Redpoint]. If you’re not into indoor climbing, then come for a pint at The Spotted Dog in Digbeth around 9.30pm on the first Wednesday of the month.

The Meets page and web calendar details our outdoor and social activities planned throughout the year. Our Facebook page is the place to go to find out what ad hoc ventures are being planned.

Our name, "Ceunant" is taken from "Pen Ceunant", our first climbers cottage in Snowdonia, North Wales. Our home today is Ty'n Lon. Located in the dramatic setting of the Llanberis Pass. Ty'n Lon has grown and developed over the last 50 years from a small and basic cottage, to a world class climbers hut with all the facilities you could ever need to enjoy a good weekend walking and climbing in Snowdonia. It also has the advantage of being less than 100yds from the front door of the Vaynol Arms pub in Nant Peris
